Few decent patrs but was dragged down in quality
Ok, here's my honest, non-biased opinion on TSAH 2, i will not take the fact that I hate LegendaryFrog and that I'm a Piconjer.
Legendary Frog "Heretic" - A confusing peace. Hard to understand it. Wasn't really funny.
Animation wise I am still annoyed at the fact that he lazily tweens the heads and limbs on separate layers as they are in MC's, it look's ugly and weird. Kinda like the limbs aren't attached properly. He overused the gradient tool. It looks great on the plaents etc, but on the podium, limbs etc the gradient does not look good.
Not the best Part.
Dim "Return to Sender"- Ok, I was impressed. Graphically appealing and smooth animation, probably the best part. Humour isn't my cuppa, but Im sure it will appeal to Halo fans. Sound was clear and to the point, the music coming in at appropriate times to emphasise certain points. I liked that. Backgrounds were good. Only downside was probably the fact was that at certain scenes it was probably too graphically intensive and lagged a bit. I also noticed it had a few imperfections but if I pointed them out it would be nit-picking. Great job by Dim.
Metal Maverick "Delta Halo"- Annoying animation in certain scenes. The start was good, but it really stood out where the spaceship landed on earth when he tweened the Background and ship to simulate camera movement that he forgot to tween the ground making look incredibly weird, like a random brown patch of dirt on a spaceship rather than a crater. I didn't laugh, not my kind of humour but this review is un-biased so I won't hold it against him as some people would find it funny. But it seems this piece was probab;y recently made because other than the start it didn't have that sort of feel as it was put of the overall collab.
Headshot "Once again with feeling" - Animates like LegendaryFrog except he does it well. Character design and Background attention got my interest, but the dialougue of it kept me uninterested. Was graphically decent but humour wise I can't understand who would find it funny.
Alex Labbe "Delusions" - this one was intersting, animated decently but he used gradients poorly which spoiled a possible good short flash. Some jokes were good, some terrible but finnier than most despite me not actually liking the jokes I appreciated them.
I don't think it was worth the wait. If Rubber Ninja stayed on and LegendaryFrog and Maverick weren't part of it then I'd say it would probably serserve it's score.
It had some good moments that fans of the series would enjoys but it's hard to like if you are not fans of the series. If no-names had submitted it it would probably had gotten a 4 I'd say.
But I did enjoy Dim's part. this was my non-biased opinion, I were biased than I would be a lot more harsher.
